Limestone College recruits FCA’s Sammy Thomolaris

Aug 13, 2019

A few weeks ago, midfielder Sammy Thomolaris (Pittsford HS) announced his commitment to play at Limestone College next year. We caught up with Sammy and asked him a few questions regarding the FCA and him choosing Limestone College.

Here are Sammy’s answers below:

Q. Why did you and your family choose to play for FCA?

A. I chose FCA because I wanted to play with the best and be coached by the best. I saw a lot of talent on the 2019 roster and I knew right from there we could win some big tournaments and do something special.

Q. What has the FCA meant to you?

A. FCA has meant a lot to me and my family. It was very affordable, it creates a brotherhood with your teammates and coaches. And finally it gives you a chance to play the top competition from around the country.

Q. Who are your role models?

A. My main role models for FCA was Coach Kelly. He always pushed us to be the best person we could be on an off the field. He told us the situations and the things college coaches would look for and how they would recruit us. Coach Kelly was a huge role model to me and I thank him for being such a great coach and person.

Q. What do you enjoy most about playing for the FCA?

A. The one thing I enjoyed most about playing FCA was the brotherhood with my teammates. I met kids from all over NYS and I continue to have relationships with them even if they live hours away.

Q. Why did you choose Limestone College?

A. I chose Limestone, because I fell in love with the school and coaching staff. In addition I wanted to play at the highest level and compete every year. They have 5 national Championships and I was given the opportunity to give them another title and contribute to the team right away.
