TYLER BUSHNELL

COACH BUSHNELL

Mendon, NY native Tyler Bushnell has played for FCA since his sophomore year of high school, and was recruited for FCA summer tournaments. This fall, Tyler will begin coaching FCA’s 2025 team. “I have wanted to be a coach since I started playing lacrosse in kindergarten. FCA has done so much for me, and I am excited to now be able to give back.”

For Tyler it is the atmosphere that FCA provides that makes the program special: “I have learned through FCA that it is ‘the coaches job to love the players, and the players job to love each other’ and that has not only helped us to develop very strong bonds, but it has been very influential in my life beyond FCA.”

Another important influence in Tyler’s life has been his high school lacrosse coach Jeff McKee, who was also his primary school gym teacher. “When I was young, I struggled with reading and Mr. McKee spent time with me – he cared about me, and helped me improve my reading. He still sends my sisters and me gifts at Christmas time.”

Tyler graduated high school from Honeoye Falls-Lima where he played lacrosse and basketball. He the graduated from Geneseo where he played 4 years of college lacrosse. He earned All-American Honors his senior year.
