COACH DAVE


Dave Dence is excited to be starting another year with FCA 2023 team and as the girls program goalie coach. He became involved in FCA in the fall of 2016 and has served at the goalie coach from then until today. “I love being able to impact a group of young women in a positive way through sports and the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

A native of Irondequoit, NY, Dave was a three sport athlete where he played basketball, baseball and soccer at Irondequoit High School. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hobart College. While at Hobart, he played basketball and baseball and was captain of the basketball team his senior season. He was a first team all conference selection in basketball his junior and senior years at Hobart.

Most recently Dave has joined the Monroe Community College coaching staff, serving as the assistant coach starting in 2019. From 2011-2016, Dave coached in the Irondequoit Youth Lacrosse program and served as the goalie coach for multiple teams.

Dave and his wife (Liz) have two children Jake and Annika and currently reside in Irondequoit. He enjoys refereeing college and high school basketball, golfing and being with his family.
