Alfred University recruits FCA’s Justin Mosher

A few weeks ago, attackman Justin Mosher (Hilton HS) announced his commitment to play at Alfred University next year. We caught up with Justin and asked him a few questions regarding the FCA and him choosing Alfred University. We also asked Justin if he had any advice for juniors and seniors during the recruiting process.

Here are Justin’s answers below:

Q. Why did you and your family choose to play for FCA?
A. My family and I chose FCA because I wanted to be able to compete at a high level every practice and game. I also wanted to be part of a team where I was able to build good relationships with my coaches and teammates.

Q. What has the FCA meant to you?
A. FCA means a lot to me, because it gave me the opportunity to make new friends and learn a great deal about myself and the game of lacrosse.

Q. Who are your role models?
A. My role models are my Dad and my coaches. They have all taught me not only about the game of lacrosse but also about becoming a better person.

Q. What do you enjoy most about playing for the FCA?
A. My most enjoyable memories while playing for FCA had to be hanging out with my teammates at the hotels. All of my teammates have become more than friends to me, they are like brothers. These are relationships I will have for the rest of my life.

Q. Why did you choose Alfred University?
A. The reason I chose to attend Alfred University was because it had all I wanted in a school. I would want to attend Alfred, even if I was not playing lacrosse. I really enjoyed my visits to campus and spending time with all of the Coaches, players and students.

Bonus: Any words of advice for high school juniors / seniors going through the college process?

My advice for players who are looking to play at the next level. First off you want to look at school that has the major you are looking for. You are attending college to get your degree, not just play lacrosse. Secondly, make sure it’s a school that you are comfortable with, because this is where you will be living for the next four years. Lastly, you have an opportunity to play four more years of lacrosse. Try to find a place where you have an opportunity to play as much as possible, during your four years.
